Terms of service

Effective date: July 6, 2026

These terms govern your use of wagelist.com, the pay band calculator, your Wagelist account and the subscription plans sold on this site.

Terms

Your account

Create your account and start today. You are responsible for the accuracy of the address you register and for what happens under your login. All pricing shown on this site is current and published; changes are announced before they take effect. We may change features; changes are announced before they take effect.

Terms

The demo

The pay band calculator on this site is provided at no charge for evaluation, and a new account can save one band from it, once. It runs on a dataset derived from public U.S. BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics with documented adjustments, and it is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Its output is general market information, not legal, tax, accounting or compensation advice. You are responsible for compensation decisions you make and for compliance with pay-transparency and employment laws that apply to you.

Terms

Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly in US dollars, and they renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor; your card details go to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. The plan you buy, its price and its billing period are the ones shown on the order screen before you pay.

You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account returns to the free calculator. You can resume before that date. Changing plan takes effect immediately and Stripe prorates the difference. Taxes, where they apply, are added at checkout. If a payment fails we may suspend the paid features until it is settled. For a refund request, write to [email protected].

Terms

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to breach or probe its security, no scraping at volumes that degrade the service, no signing up email addresses you do not control, no reselling or republishing the demo output as your own benchmark product, and no unlawful use. We may block access that violates these rules.

Terms

Intellectual property

The Wagelist name, site design and software are ours. The underlying BLS wage data is public U.S. government data and remains public; our derived dataset, multipliers and presentation are part of the service. You may share individual bands and posted ranges you generate (for example, in a job posting); that is what they are for.

Terms

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wagelist is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this site or the demo, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the plan in the twelve months before the claim.

Terms

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these terms; the effective date above always reflects the current version. Questions: [email protected]. See also our privacy policy.
